Hunt Family Christmas 2012


Yes, it is that festive time of year again.  December 2012.  Even among rumors of impending doom for the planet Earth I can't help but feel that the world will go on.  It MUST go on.  There is so much still to do and so much of living for even the Earth to do. 



Our tree is always colorful and festive and speaks to the child in all of us.

It has not yet begun to snow in Indianapolis Indiana, as temperatures seem to be climbing still.  Today it was 70 degrees on December 3rd.  How odd is that?  Still, the cold will come.  And when it does it will stay awhile and make us pine for warmer temperatures and good weather again.




Among the sugar frosted fruit and beaded ornaments we have old world papier mache stars.   Very stylish.

Upon Thanksgiving night every year, and as a part of our family tradition, we decorate our Christmas tree.  It was nice to do so as we had our nephew visiting from the U.S. Air Force Base in South Dakota.  We love and appreciate him so much.  He's been to Afghanistan twice and in the military for 6 years.  It is now time for him to disembark and to begin his life in the world as he builds his education in computer programming.  It was wonderful to have him visit us for 2 weeks and end that time by putting up our Christmas tree and then celebrating the year in thanksgiving.  



The tree topper is made of sticks and cranberry beads.  

Putting up the tree is a family event.  My husband usually gets out the containers holding the tree and ornaments.  He organizes the branches while I organize the ornaments, garland and lights.  Then, after he has exhausted himself with the branches of the tree my daughter spreads the branches evenly to give the tree a natural look.  My husband will then sit back and relax as he watches me and my daughter place decorations and lights on the tree.  Usually we watch our first Christmas show and drink hot chocolate while we decorate.  It is such a festive opening to such a festive season.

TV PERSONALITY, DEMONOLOGIST AND LITERARY PERFORMER CARL JOHNSON

Carl L. Johnson  By Lana J. Brock Some of you may have heard of Carl L. Johnson.  He is a man with many talents.  He's known by many as a former T.A.P.S. When Allah Comes To A Christian  Lookout Mountain, Lookout Valley in Chattanooga, Tennessee I wasn't looking for Allah, but Allah found me. This is Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga Tennessee, which I had visited back on July 6th to the 9th in 2022. This summer my life was tumultuously impacted by some unusual circumstances. Call it confusion of love and belonging, spirituality or feeling purpose, it all led me to a place where the only one who would find me crumbling onto the earth reaching out begging to be heard was Allah (God the One Creator of the universe).
